Everybody who comes to the Campo for the first time will enter a very special place, charged of creative energy left here by many people.
Sculptor Peter Rosenzweig – himself a student then - discovered this place nearly 30 years ago. He taught his first courses on a field, that's the origin of the name Campo..
The Campo today embraces 6000 sqm of terraced and cultivated grounds, with a house in which an office, a kitchen and a store room are situated. In front of it stands a large roofed table where all can meet to talk, relax, have a coffee or tea, take a snack or share a meal.
Spacious planes invite sculptors and painters to attend to their work. Everybody can choose whether to spend their time in the shade of chestnut or fruit trees or in the sun.
An additional wonderful place to work is the Roman church and ruins of La Capella, on the other side of the village, approx. 15 minutes walk from the Campo. Part of our courses take place there in the shadow of ancient walls under cypress trees.
You will be taught by competent and empathetic artists who will help you to undertake a comprehensive and profound artistic process. Our experience and methodical approach will be at your disposal.
The situation within the course will also be inspiring and will have a positive influence on your own work. In most cases we will work in small and manageable groups of 5 to 10 people. The sophisticated but also informal and relaxed atmosphere will allow highest results in a short space of time. If you want you might also address specific artistic queries or artisan topics.
The intensive sculpting courses in Berlin are now to be found on its own homepage
We gather around the large table a couple of times during the day.
