Food & Drink

Hunger, Thurst and Appetite at the Campo

At the Campo we like to enjoy life's pleasures like eating and drinking together.

During course times you can either daily or occasionally order a freshly prepared 3-course lunch. This way you save time and, together with other sculptors, painters or guests, you can enjoy a diversified celebration of the culinary sort. Directly at the Campo..

Breakfast and other meals can be prepared comfortably in your own home.

Some prefer to take a break at home over lunch or eat only a snack. No problem, all guests live in houses which are equipped with kitchen and cooking facilities for self-catering. In the evenings you can conveniently cook something tasty for yourself and others.

At all times you can get cold drinks, tea, coffee, cappuccino or espresso at the Campo.

Our legendary house wine – white 'Vernaccia di San Gimignano' and red 'Rosso di Montepulciano' – is also always available after a day's work.

Ristorante Michelangelo

Every course at the Campo begins and ends with a shared meal at the Ristorante Michelangelo in Azzano

The owners Maestro Sandro and his wife Maria Emilia offer high quality meals for locals and foreign guests. You can take your morning cappuccino here, enjoy an inexpensive lunch and also eat your dinner here. Furthermore there's pizza baked in the wood-fired oven, a bar, journals, sweets, cigarettes, cocktails and last but not least: gelati (ice-cream)

The menu, also available in English, will introduce you to the typical Tuscan cuisine and the specialities of the region. Sandro is also a sommelier and will be delighted to advise you about exclusive wines.

Reservations are only necessary for larger groups, at weekends or for public holidays.
