The Campo is situated right at the edge of Azzano, a mountain village in a romantic side valley of the Apuan Alps. Here we work and live surrounded by lush nature.
450m above sea level the climate is mild all year round. Especially during the summer, when it can be pretty hot in Italy, it is very suitable here for our artistic work. The surrounding forest of chestnut trees which centuries ago has been planted on terraced hillsides cools down the temperatures.
The high mountains serve as water reservoir. They feed our creek Serra even in the summer months, prerequisite for the exuberant flora and also for the pleasure of bathing in the river.
Close-by you can find the long sandy beaches of the luxurious Versilia and the artists and artisans of Carrara and Pietrasanta.
The Versilia – that's how the region is called – offers many touristic and sportive facilities, like visiting places of interest, exhibitions, operas, concerts and many more.
From here you can start wonderful day trips to many destinations in Tuscany and at the seaside.
